Island Life : Can you feel it?

Indulging in Island Life

Island life : I woke up this morning and I could feel a vibe running through my body. But not any vibe, a vibe that made me smile, made me happy, made me want to dance. As I sat bewildered for a moment, it finally dawned on me what I was feeling.

It was island life!

The ability to wake up and take in the fresh ocean air, the power of knowing no matter what I faced today at work, after 5 pm it all wouldn’t matter for a few hours.

Because I would be able to forget my cares, rely on the island vibes to seep in and sweep my thoughts far away for awhile.

The picture above is a good facsimile of what I’ll be looking like come 5pm today.

So today as we all get prepared to pack it in and call it quits for the week, take two hours out of the weekend and don’t do anything. Get as close to a beach as you can and if you can’t, saddle up next to a good lounge chair or  flip on some cool relaxing vibes and let it all go.

And for inspiration I left you with this goody from an island guy himself, whose so legendary he only needs one name; Bob!

Are you going to indulge yourself in some Island Life this weekend?

You are soooo making me jealous! I just came back from the Keys this past weekend and I did not want to leave. I love being on an Island and being as close to water as possible. There is nothing better than waking early to take a walk to the ocean and stick your toes in the sand and water..I would love to wake up to it everyday like you.. I am envious and I will take two hours this weekend and put on some island music and go outside and invision I am on Tahiti Beach (my favorite place on Elbow Cay) and relax the best I can..

    Cheers,

    Vixity

Thanks vixity. This island life is contagious. When i was in abaco, the beach was so beautiful i convinced myself, no matter what I would wake up and jog the entire beach atleast two mornings. Little did i know, that jog, walk, run, would take 2 hrs. The beach was immense and beautiful, didn’t regret one minute of it! I hope you enjoy your 2 hours of island life this weekend. :)

It is contagious.. The back side (Atlantic) of Great Guana Cay is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed snorkeling and just lying on the beach. I will return soon, maybe we could meet up and have a drink or several with you.
